The verdict
The Platinum 4D Avalon's headline feature is its heated foot rollers — warming the plantar fascia while the rollers work — which separates it from chairs with airbag-only foot units at the $7,999 tier.
Anyone whose primary tension area is the feet and calves — heated foot rollers are the Avalon's standout differentiator
PROS
- ✓Heated foot rollers combine thermal therapy with reflexology — noticeably more effective than cold rollers for plantar tension
- ✓4D roller capability for precise spinal depth adjustment
- ✓Full-body heat covers back and calves alongside the foot unit
- ✓40 airbags for solid full-body compression
- ✓Voice control for hands-free use
CONS
- ✕2-stage zero gravity — chairs at $7,999 from Osaki's own line (Bravo Duo Flex) offer 3-stage
- ✕Moderate intensity ceiling disappoints deep-tissue users
- ✕3yr standard warranty; the DuoMax at a higher price gets 5yr

Common questions about the Osaki Platinum 4D Avalon
- How far does the roller path extend on the Osaki Platinum 4D Avalon?
- SL-Track on the Osaki Platinum 4D Avalon means the roller path traces your spine from cervical to lumbar and then curves under into the seat area, reaching the glutes. More ground covered than either an S- or L-Track alone — better for chronic lower back issues.
- What roller technology does the Osaki Platinum 4D Avalon use?
- The Osaki Platinum 4D Avalon features 4D rollers, which control both depth and the speed of each individual stroke independently. The result is a more rhythmic, human-like massage — the rollers can slow down and press deeper on tight spots, then speed up through less tense areas.
- Can the Osaki Platinum 4D Avalon recline into a zero gravity position?
- Yes — the Osaki Platinum 4D Avalon reclines into a zero gravity position, tilting your body so your legs rise above your heart. This reduces spinal compression and allows the rollers to work with gravity rather than against it, deepening the therapeutic effect.
- Is there built-in heat on the Osaki Platinum 4D Avalon?
- Yes — the Osaki Platinum 4D Avalon includes built-in heat, typically in the lumbar and sometimes calf sections. Heat loosens muscle tissue before and during the massage, making roller pressure more effective without needing to increase intensity.
- How much weight can the Osaki Platinum 4D Avalon support?
- The Osaki Platinum 4D Avalon is rated for a maximum user weight of 260 lbs (118 kg). Staying within this limit ensures both effective massage delivery and long-term mechanical reliability.
- Who does the Osaki Platinum 4D Avalon fit in terms of height?
- The Osaki Platinum 4D Avalon is calibrated for users between 5′4″ and 6′0″. Body scanning will auto-adjust the roller path, but the physical dimensions of the chair are optimised for this range.
- How many airbags does the Osaki Platinum 4D Avalon have?
- The Osaki Platinum 4D Avalon is fitted with 40 airbags distributed across the shoulders, arms, hips, and calves. More airbags generally means better coverage and more even compression pressure.
- Is the Osaki Platinum 4D Avalon covered by a warranty?
- 5 years warranty on the Osaki Platinum 4D Avalon. Coverage terms (parts vs. labour, in-home vs. depot service) can vary by retailer and region, so verify before buying.
